Specs: Grade D Height: 1.85" Diameter:1.61" Overall Length: 6" Chamber Diameter: 3/4" Chamber Depth: 1.54"
Hand cut Ebonite Stem with a Delrin tenon. Beautiful birdseye on top, with some nice ring grain on the blast. One flaw on the shank blasted out a bit more than I wanted, otherwise this would have been a grade B and a lot more expensive! This is a nice light pipe with graceful lines.
$265. SOLD November 2007, Thanks!
Specs: Grade C Height: 1.72" Diameter:1.81" Overall Length: 6" Chamber Diameter: 3/4" Chamber Depth: 1.37"
Made from Italian Plateaux briar with a hand cut Ebonite Stem and an Integral tenon.
This grade C Bulldog has very nice birdseye on top and beautiful ring grain blast completely around the entire piece. The pictures simply don't do it justice. The nicest blast I have had yet.
$245, Sold September 2007, thanks!
Specs: Grade C Height: 1.9" Diameter:1.9" Overall Length: 5.9 " Chamber Diameter: 3/4" Chamber Depth: 1.63"
From Italian Plateaux briar with a hand cut German Ebonite Stem, and integral tenon. The nicest bulldog I've made yet. I'm pleased with the lines--the touch of Danish influence I've been striving for. An innovative angle makes a nice size chamber while facilitating the shape. Very nice birdseye on the top and bottom, also on the top of one side of the stem. Straight and flame flowing up the sides, front and back. Three un-distracting flaws keep this a grade C, but it's a really beautiful pipe.
From Algerian briar Bowl Height: 2.05" Bowl diameter at rim:1.74 Overall Length: 6.25 " Chamber Diameter: 3/4" Chamber Depth: 1.53" Hand cut German Ebonite Stem Delrin Tenon
I hope this is the first of traditional S.E.THILE Christmas pipes. The one and only for 2006 was a gift for my son, John, who loves Bulldogs, and loves Christmas. He reports it's an excellent smoker.
I find Bulldogs to be an extremely challenging shape. The lines and angles demand symmetry, and show every deviation from it.
A couple of flaws and sand pits, but nothing terrible, and decent grain, so I kept it smooth.
$265, sold December 2007, thanks!
Specs: Grade C Height: 1.7 " Diameter:1.79" Overall Length: 5.8 " Chamber Diameter: 3/4" Chamber Depth: 1.45"
This grade C Bulldog has a nice molted birdseye on the top and bottom. A beautiful straight and flame grain completely around the entire piece. The pictures simply don't do it justice. Three small specs on the shank, otherwise very clean.

Specs: Grade A Height: 1.8" Diameter:1.6" Overall Length: 5.9" Chamber Diameter: 3/4" Chamber Depth: 1.4" Weight: 43 grams (1.5 ounces)
This grade A Bulldog has very nice birdseye on top and bottom and beautiful flame grain completely around the entire piece. The pictures simply don't do it justice. Very clean--I have yet to find a spec or even any hint of a flaw.
This is a very nice, small Bulldog with a nice size bowl. Beautifully proportioned. A very fine piece!

This grade B Pokerbash has nice birdseye on the top and bottom, and stunningly beautiful straight grain flowing nearly completely around the entire piece, with just a hint of fall out along the front. The pictures simply don't do it justice. Two small specs on the top, otherwise exceptionally clean.

Specs: Grade: A Height: 1.77" Diameter: 2.06" at the top Overall Length: 6.0 " Chamber Diameter: .75" Chamber Depth: 1.39" Weight: 60 grams (2.1 oz)
Made from Italian Plateaux with a hand cut Brindle (Cumberland) full tapered stem with an integral tenon. A large squat Bulldog with distinctly Danish influence. Beautiful straight and flame grain on the sides, front, and back of the bowl, flowing from very nice birdseye top and bottom. The shank also has some beautiful grain transitionsl. The stain I ended up with for this really helps the beautiful grain to pop, and I think it looks fantastic with the Brindle. I love the look and feel of this piece over all. It may be my nicest Bulldog to date. Very clean, with only a very few tiny specs that are not the least bit distracting, and very difficult to see without magnification.
