Made from Italian Plateaux with a hand cut Brindle (Cumberland) full tapered stem with an integral tenon. A large squat Bulldog with distinctly Danish influence. Beautiful straight and flame grain on the sides, front, and back of the bowl, flowing from very nice birdseye top and bottom. The shank also has some beautiful grain transitionsl. The stain I ended up with for this really helps the beautiful grain to pop, and I think it looks fantastic with the Brindle. I love the look and feel of this piece over all. It may be my nicest Bulldog to date. Very clean, with only a very few tiny specs that are not the least bit distracting, and very difficult to see without magnification.
