Freehand #508 Blasted Cherrywood (Collaboration)

This was going to be a possible second due to a couple of flaws in the chamber, although I thought perhaps I’d keep it.
But while it was in limbo on my workbench, my 18 month old standard poodle puppy, Charley solved my dilemma when he decided to collaborate on the finish with his (patent pending) Puppification technique. I found it in the living room. He had somehow removed the stem, but not before adding a bit of rustication to it as well as the stummle. Following his treatment, I refaced the end of the shank, re-attached the stem, modified the shape slightly, moderated the stem rustication, re-blasted it, and then refinished it. I’m looking forward to lighting it up at the Muletown Pipe Show, and hoping someone asks me about the finish 😉

The Specs and photos are pre-puppification. I’ll reshoot them at some point.
